PHILIPPIANS
Psallos
The album Philippians by the artist Psallos is phenomenal. It is Paul’s letter brilliantly and artistically put to music, featuring artists Andrew Peterson, Dennis Parker, Shai Lynne, and others.

Fun fact: I sing background vocals for multiple tracks, but more importantly, my feet are featured at the end of the first track as I march through a river as a Roman soldier and shout my allegiance to Caesar.

Take the time to appreciate the art behind the music. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

A COWARD’S GUIDE TO EVANGELISM
J. Mack Stiles
Evangelism is a bittersweet thing to most Christians. We love to hear about others’ evangelistic efforts, but we are scared to do it ourselves. At least that’s been my experience! This article by J. Mack Stiles helps alleviate some of those fears. Read this short article to help yourself stay faithful in the pursuit of making more disciples around you.

THE BRIEFING
Albert Mohler
I often listen to Albert Mohler’s news editorial called The Briefing. Parts II and III of this episode are a great civics lesson based on the theme that order precedes liberty.

HABITS OF THE HOUSEHOLD
Justin Whitmel Earley
The best book I’ve read so far this year is probably Habits of the Household by Justin Whitmel Earley.  It would make great reading for parents of young children. Small groups would enjoy discussing it this summer.

EVALUATING “GENTLE PARENTING”
The Wednesday Conversation
The podcast The Wednesday Conversation took time to evaluate a new trend in parenting. Gentle parenting claims to be based on truth but falls short of good interpretation and application of Scripture.
