Sinclair Ferguson
A friend recently reminded me of Things Unseen, a daily podcast with theologian Sinclair Ferguson. I had forgotten how much I enjoy it. Ferguson has the ability to blend together theology and devotion into five-minute reflections. He makes rich truth simple without ever sacrificing depth. Plus, there’s the added bonus of his Scottish accent.

AGE OF OPPORTUNITY
Paul Tripp
I recently read Age of Opportunity by Paul Tripp. It’s a follow-up to Shepherding a Child’s Heart. Shepherding is about raising little kids while this book is about raising teenagers. Each chapter is very practical and focuses on getting to your child’s heart instead of hammering on actions. It promotes grace, kindness, and open communication. Any parent already raising teens, or any parent getting ready to raise teens, should give this a read!

Working through the major doctrines this summer in The Land of The Ology brought to mind one of my favorite albums on the Attributes of God. It is by a rapper named Shai Linne. My personal favorites are The Jealous One and The Lord of Patience.
