Your kids need a place where they can grow in their faith.

At Soteria Kids, children can learn about God in a fun, engaging environment and build a firm foundation of faith. As they learn the truth of God’s word, children can develop an early understanding of God, Jesus, and the gospel.

Engaging children in the story of the gospel

During Soteria Kids, children ages 2 through 5th grade can participate in a fun, child-geared environment where they can learn the big-picture story of the gospel from beginning to end.

We do not offer Soteria Kids during our 8:00am service. However, your children are more than welcome to stay with you during any of our Sunday worship services. Parents must register their child to receive identification stickers for drop off and pick up.

Kids4Truth

Helping children know what they believe and why

Each Wednesday night, children ages 3 through 5th grade can participate in Kids4Truth, learning about the Bible using 12 doctrinal themes from God’s Word. The cost is $15 per child, and includes a workbook, shirt, and other supplies.

How do I register my child to participate?

All families can register their children immediately prior to Soteria Kids. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the service to ensure your child gets to their classroom on time!

  • Enter Soteria through the front doors, stop at the connect desk, let a volunteer know you are a new. They will guide you to our Soteria Kids area where you can register your kids.
  • Parents, you will need to enter your children’s personal information. Once that is done, you will receive a sticker and can drop off your child in their classroom.

What curriculum do you use?

For our Sunday morning kids’ classes, we use The Gospel Project.

For Wednesday evening classes, we use the Kids4Truth curriculum.

What safety policies and procedures do you have in place?

Here at Soteria, we take the safety and security of your children seriously. The following procedures have been implemented:

  • Each children’s worker has had a thorough background check.
  • Every child is required to check in and must be picked up by an adult with matching check in.
  • Trained medical staff are on-call.
  • We have a dedicated security team made up of current and former law enforcement officers in our building for all activities
  • All classrooms are equipped with communications to contact the security team and health care professionals.
  • Every lead teacher is a member of Soteria and has been attending for at least six months.

Do you perform background checks?

Yes, we perform background checks on all children’s workers and volunteers.

How are the classrooms divided up?

Our classrooms are divided in order to teach curricula that’s specifically designed for each age group. Our classroom age divisions are:

Nursery/Crawlers (includes a Mothers’ Room) – birth to 18 months (Room 103)
Our Crawlers class is designed to meet the developmental needs of our babies while providing a safe and playful environment.

18 months–2 years (Room 104)
This class will have play time/learning centers, Bible story and Bible verse, sing-along, and craft/snack.

3s and 4s (Room 201)
3s and 4s will have play time and activity, snack, Bible story and Bible verse, sing-along worship and watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible Story.

4s and 5s (Room 202)
These ages will have play time & activity, snack, Bible story and Bible verse, sing-along worship and watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible Story.

Kindergarten (Room 205), 1st Grade (Room 206), & 2nd–3rd grade (Room 203)
This class will have interactive Worship through music in the High School room. They will head back to their classroom to watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible story being taught that Sunday. Children will engage in activities that reinforce the lesson including a memory verse activity, a fun game, lesson sheet and prayer time with their leaders. On occasion, a snack or treat will be provided.

4th–5th grade (Room 204)
Our 4th and 5th graders will have interactive Worship through music in the High School room. They will head back to their classroom to watch a teaching DVD that reinforces the Bible story being taught that Sunday. Your child will learn truths from the Bible presented in a relevant way and prepare them for moving into our Jr. High programming.

How do I check in my kids?

When you arrive at Soteria, come to the children’s wing kiosk to check your children into Soteria Kids. You’ll be provided with a name tag for your child and a matching name tag for pick up after the services, as well as details on when to pick up your child.

What happens if my child is upset or needs me?

Each parent is given a print out every service with a number that corresponds to your child. If we need you for any reason, we will text you.
